CITY OF BLAKELY
NOTICE OF ELECTION

The General Election for the City of Blakely shall be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at Early County Board of Elections located at 17 McDonald Avenue, Blakely, Georgia.  The election shall be for positions of Mayor and on the City Council for District 1 - Post 2 and District 2 - Post 2.

All persons desiring to vote in said election must be registered no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 10, 2023.  Advanced and absentee voting for the election begins on October 16, 2023.  The deadline to request an absentee ballot is October 27, 2023.  If you have any questions, please call (229) 723-4522.

In the event no candidate in the general election receives a majority of the total votes cast, there shall be a runoff between the candidates receiving the two highest numbers of votes as provided in O.C.G.A. § 21-2-501.  If a runoff election is required, it shall be held on December 5, 2023.  Only those qualified electors who are eligible to vote in the November 7, 2023, general election will be eligible to vote in the special election run-off.
