Our full service sanitation department provides many services to our citizens. Residential polycarts and yard trimmings pickups are performed weekly.

Holidays that fall on a weekday will delay pickup schedule by the number of days that City Hall is closed. Schedule changes will be advertised in the Early County News, on our blog, the Blakely Buzz, and our Facebook page.

Recycling bins are located at the Early County Middle School on Columbia Street and the Piggly Wiggly parking lot on North Main Street.

Large Items

Residents are responsible for taking large furniture, appliances and large yard debris to the landfill located at 43 Malone Road, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 4.30 pm.

Notice

The City does NOT pick up items that have been placed by the street. Please have the items removed within five days. Failure to do so may result in any penalty provided for in Chapter 1, Sections 1.7 and 1.8 of the City of Blakely Code of Ordinances.

The City will NOT pick up the following items but not limited to: household furniture, appliances, tires, batteries, construction debris, oil, grease, and chemicals.
