New electrical and utility hookups must be approved for any required permits or tap fees by the building inspector. To connect residential utility services, you must:
- Fill out a Residential Application Package for Utility Services. Either download it here or get it at Utility Billing in City Hall.
- Provide valid photo identification
- Proof of property ownership or lease/rental agreement
- Return filled out application to Utility Billing where a credit check will be done and your deposit will be determined

To report an electrical outage Monday – Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, call City Hall at 229-723-3677. After hours, call the Blakely Fire Department at 229-723-3511.
Winter rates go into effect December 1 and summer rates go into effect June 1.
